MathDisk on Edmodo

With Edmodo, teachers are able to build dynamic worksheets to visualize, interact with, and explore the amazing world of mathematics and physics.

Building dynamic, tutorial style, worksheets with step-by-step progression helps students visualize difficult math concepts. MathDisk was designed for teachers who wish to connect with students utilizing the opportunities presented for collaborative learning via social media platforms.

When the MathDisk app is launched from Edmodo, an “Edmodo Share” button, is included on the worksheet for easy posting to the selected student group. Once teachers share a worksheet with their group, students use the Mi-Book app to save, organize, and review the module. Students can then work through multiple examples by simply changing the values of expressions within the set parameters.

Scripting in MathDisk

Advanced users of MathDisk can use scripting to produce amazing math and physics models. The script is based on the syntax of popular processing language, the same used by the ubiquitous khan-academy to teach programming to students. But unlike khan academy, the users of MathDisk will program against natural coordinates rather than pixel based coordinate system. Animations, Interactions all will be seamless with the rest of the features of MathDisk.

Similarly users can also customize and conditionally change the appearance and behavior of Mathematical models by attaching snippets of scripting to many objects such as annotations, images etc. Just as Mathematical Expressions, these scripts can also be instantly visualized as they type.

Mi-Book

Coming Soon!

MI-Book is the downloadable desktop version of MathDisk. Like a Kindle e-reader, MI-Book is a mathematical e-reader. Its specialty is in its ability to organize worksheets by subject into an e-textbook format; it is also an offline worksheet builder. MI-Book does not rely on online resources to fully function and the worksheets read, or built, while offline retain all of their interactive features. This means MI-Book users only need to connect to the Internet to download and upload worksheets.

Import/Export Work Sheets:

  • Organize work sheets into

    • Pages

Robo-Compass is a Euclidean Geometry Software on a Virtual 3D paper. With Robo-Compass any one can practice geometrical constructions exactly as they would with traditional instruments but all on a 3D paper. Using just a handful of commands one can start from exploring basic constructs to understanding proofs involving congruence, similarity, ratio, reflection etc.

Robo-Compass is fully integrated with Google Drive so teachers can save their demonstrations and give construction assignments to their students all by sharing their files through Google Drive.
